Morbegno, in province of Sondrio (Lombardia) is at the Valtellina's doors. It not far from Milan (only 100 km) and is attainable in little more than an hour along the SS 36 by Lecco and in train from the Milan Central station; from Bergamo in summer, through the road that descends for 27 km from the S.Marco pass. it's reached it then from Switzerland through Spluga pass, Malojapass and Berninapass, from Lugano spending for Menaggio and from here along the national Road of the Como's Lake. From Trentino crossing Tonalepass and from here in Valtellina and finally from the Alto-Adige through Stelviopass and then descending in Bormio in High Valtellina. |
